Children Theme Shows
* Lisa & Friends* present shows involving singing, dancing, large puppets and audience participation. The shows are well conceived, with attention to detail, fast paced, and run approximately 45-60 minutes. The kids become participants in the shows, dressed as Elvis or angels or George Washington! They are apt to join in a march, hula hoop, identify historical figures, dance with bubbles and fish, or try the limbo!

"An amazing performance!"
- Mary Ellen Siniak             Sr. Librarian for Youth Services, Seekonk Public Library

CRUISE JUBILEE
A trip of a lifetime! Children get a glimpse of cruise ship life and a taste of the Caribbean, Mexico, and Hawaii by participating in this upbeat show filled with happy calypso music. Kids don sombreros and shake maracas, try their luck at the limbo, wear grass skirts and leis for the hula, and march, with flags, to "God Bless America". This popular show includes puppets such as Yellow bird, The Rocker, Chicita Banana, Capt. Gus, and Puff the Magic Dragon. A simple travelogue, by this seasoned cruise ship entertainer, helps color their imaginations.

"Outstanding!"
- Paula Polk, Director            Morse Institute Library, Natick

SPIRIT OF AMERICA
It's important that our children know how precious our freedom is and the sacrifices that our veterans and forefathers went through to achieve our democracy. With puppets from different eras of American History talking and singing with the children, they will enjoy learning. Depending on the venue, children sing, participate with potato sack races, hoops and sticks, and dress as historical figures.

"A history lesson come to life! The children had great fun while gaining knowledge. I highly recommend her to other librarians."
- Carol McFadden, Children's Librarian            Walpole Library

THE FABULOUS FIFTIES
Although the children don't remember the music of this era, they are delighted with the puppets and upbeat songs. Most kids enjoy hamming on stage and this show asks for young volunteers to play Elvis, Connie Francis, the Splish Splash Rocker, etc. alongside Lisa and her puppets. Other puppets include the dog, a clown, two monkeys, two spiders, Susie, and Howdy Doody. Mickey Mouse leads the parade at the end with the kids in hats and hand puppets. The older kids participate in a hula hoop contest.

KIDS IN MOTION
This is a fun, less structured show, good for parties with young children (must have lots of room)! Children run around with horns and drive with steering wheels, dive for beach balls and jump for bubbles. Puppets also join in the fun by singing and jumping.

"..very professional, educational and entertaining. I recommend *Lisa & Friends* to any elementary school or library looking for an interactive and fun program."
- Martha Richard, Youth Service Librarian            Storrs Library, Longmeadow

HOORAY FOR HOLLYWOOD
All kids like the movies! This show has lots of music, action and puppets reminiscing about the movies we all love! Visit with Charlie Chaplin, Shirley Temple, Dorothy from the "Wizard of Oz" and Mickey Mouse. Great songs include "The Sound of Music" and Disney Favorites. For added fun have the kids come dressed as their favorite movie stars for a stroll on the red carpet!

Susie sings "Jingle Bells", and the Dog howls!! With help from the kids, we keep the Grinch from stealing Christmas (a magic trick!). Kids play clackers to "Rockin' Round the Christmas Tree ", prance with Rudolph, and dance as angels while everyone sings carols (lyric sheets furnished).
